WELCOME TO BUCKEYE

Summer Break is an exciting time for students, and there is plenty happening at Buckeye Elementary! Our custodians are busy preparing the building for the upcoming school year, supplies are arriving, and Mrs. Bowers is hard at work assisting families and taking care of your needs.

This year, we are offering a new four-week Kindergarten Readiness Boot Camp for incoming kindergarten students who signed up and qualified. This is a great opportunity for children to build skills and feel extra prepared for kindergarten.

Kindergarten Camp for all incoming kindergarten students will be held on Thursday, August 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Buckeye Elementary.

The Summer Reading Program for elementary students is underway! Students can earn county fair tickets simply by reading and turning in their reading logs. To sign up for kindergarten or if you have any questions, please call the Buckeye Elementary office or the administrative office at 330-332-0316.

The Buckeye Open House will be held on August 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The first day of school for first- and second-grade students is August 27, and the first day for kindergarten students is August 31.

The school supply list is available under Parent Resources on our website or you may click the link below.

WELCOME TO BUCKEYE ELEMENTARY

Welcome to a brand new school year! I am excited to welcome you to the 2025–26 school year at Buckeye Elementary, where our learners take their first steps toward a bright future. It is an honor to serve as your principal and to partner with you in this exciting journey.

At Buckeye, we believe that a strong foundation in literacy is the key to lifelong learning. I am deeply passionate about early childhood literacy and committed to making sure every student develops the confidence, curiosity, and love of reading that will serve them throughout their lives.

Most of all, I want every child who walks through our doors to know they are capable of great things. Our entire staff is devoted to seeing all students succeed: academically, socially, and emotionally. We create a nurturing environment where children can grow, explore, and thrive.

We guide our school community with three simple yet powerful expectations: Be Safe, Be Responsible and Be Respectful. These values shape our classrooms, hallways, playground, and hearts. They are the foundation for a positive and inclusive school culture where your children belong. Thank you for entrusting us with your children. We can’t wait to learn and grow with them!
