Local health care leaders are collaborating on a needs assessment for Columbiana County, and asking area residents to provide feedback regarding their needed health services and/or barriers to accessing care. As a first step in this process, all Columbiana County residents, over the age of 18, are invited to share their opinions about these issues through an anonymous on-line or mail-in survey, which will be used to help and prioritize measure unmet needs and make future planning recommendations.

How to Participate: The on-line survey should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete and is available until November 19, 2021, at the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/G6YZY9Y.

Paper copies of the survey are also available through the following collaborating organizations:
Akron Children’s Hospital, Columbiana County Community Action Agency, Columbiana County Educational Services Center, Columbiana County Health District, Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, East Liverpool City Hospital, East Liverpool Health District, Family & Children First Council, Ohio State University Extension, Salem City Health District and Salem Regional Medical Center.

Next Steps: The final survey results will be compiled into a comprehensive report, which will enable Columbiana County health departments, hospitals, mental health providers and other partnering organizations to develop planning recommendations for improving community health outcomes. In addition to the community survey, the needs assessment process will also include a series of focus group and stakeholder interviews, combined with a detailed analysis of community health status indicators. A final report of the Columbiana County Health Needs Assessment (CCHNA) is expected to be completed by June 2022.

We encourage all Columbiana County residents to please take a few minutes and complete this survey for the benefit of the community.
