Due to the rising number of Covid-19 positive student cases in the 7-12 building and evidence of spread within the building, Salem City Schools is instituting a temporary masking mandate for Salem Junior/Senior High School.
Starting on Monday, October 4, 2021 all students and staff in grades 7-12, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a mask, while indoors, at school. This order will be in place for two weeks and will be reevaluated on Friday, October 15, 2021. Communications will continue to be made through all-calls and social media.
Please know that this mandate was made out of an abundance of caution for the students, staff, and community. Any questions or concerns should be directed to Sean Kirkland, Superintendent.
