Attention Quaker Community,
As you may be aware, the Governor’s order requiring the use of facial coverings in child education settings is in effect until June 2, 2021, at 12:01 AM EDT, at which time it will be rescinded and supersede any conflict with the order. Therefore, Salem City Schools will take the following approach: It is our recommendation that students and staff continue to wear a mask if they have not been fully vaccinated. This is only a recommendation. In the end, parents and students will need to follow their own comfort level in deciding whether or not they choose to wear a mask. Thank you!
