Attention Quaker Families,
Governor Dewine has asked that all local school districts organize a coronavirus vaccination clinic for any interested students aged 16 and older. A vaccination clinic, coordinated by Salem City Schools and Giant Eagle Pharmacy, will be made available to interested families during the school day in the next few weeks. According to the Centers for Disease Control, the COVID-19 vaccination is an important tool in helping to stop the pandemic; the vaccine is a safer way to build protection, and will help keep you from getting COVID-19. Families are encouraged to give consideration and consult their health care provider, if necessary. In preparation for this vaccination event, an interest survey is being shared with families for students aged 13 and older to determine how many doses would need to be reserved for this future clinic. Even though the vaccination clinic is for children ages 16 and up at this time, that may soon change to include students ages 13 and older. Please complete the survey for any children aged 13 and up that attend Salem City Schools, even if you are not interested in your child receiving the vaccine at this time. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered at the vaccination clinic. Directions on how to register for the vaccination clinic will be shared via email at a later date. Those interested should complete this survey by Monday, April 19th at 3:00 pm.
