Those who’ve spent time in higher education know that applying to colleges, especially multiple colleges, is a very taxing on time and finances. In an effort to assist upcoming graduates, multiple colleges in the area participated in College Application Day on Friday, November 3rd.
Salem High School seniors who attended College Application Day were given the opportunity to apply free of charge to the participating colleges. Students who took part in this event had the ability to apply to over 15 different colleges from northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania. The colleges that participated were:
- Ashland University
- Baldwin Wallace University
- Bowling Green University
- College of Wooster
- Eastern Gateway Community College
- Hannah Mullins School of Nursing
- Hiram University
- Kent State Salem
- Ohio University
- Ohio Valley College of Technology
- Stark State University
- University of Mount Union
- Walsh University
- Westminster College
A representative from Hannah Mullins School of Nursing was also available to answer any questions about the school.
With higher education becoming more and more necessary in today’s ever-evolving job landscape, the importance of choosing the right institution for continued learning is imperative. Salem City Schools’ counselors were excited about giving our students this excellent opportunity to apply for colleges they may have otherwise written off.
