In what has become an annual tradition, students from the entire district came together and presented the artwork they accomplished during the school year at the 2019 Salem City Schools District Artshow in the Jr/Sr High School cafeteria. All grades of student and all manner of projects were welcome, from kindergarten drawings to pottery baked in kilns, to penciled self-portraits to more abstract oil paintings.

Banners were hung from the ceiling with pictures and paintings placed on them denoting the different grade levels as well as classroom sizes. Student artists were in attendance to look over their colleagues’ artwork as well as explain some of the decisions they made as they created their art.

Salem City Schools is already looking forward to next year’s art show, but for now, we are proud of those that presented their works and will enjoy them and the process of learning new techniques and tricks. If you would like to see more pictures from our art show, check out our album on Facebook.
